SAMOA PUBLIC SECTOR IMPROVEMENT FACILITY | The PSIF is an important development partnership between the Governments of Australia, New Zealand and Samoa. Under a tripartite agreement signed on the 23rd February 2005, Australia and New Zealand have committed approximately SAT$30 million to support activities designed to improve the efficiency and effectiveness of Samoa’s public service. “Improving Government Services” provides the defining objective for the PSIF as it encourages Government Ministries and Agencies to identify and address critical constraints within the public sector to effective service delivery.
The Facility provides financial and technical support for a continuing program of public sector reform. Ministries will analyse their development priorities and prepare project that can assist them to provide better services.
